Illustration can be used to visually represent a particular topic you are trying to get across, an aspect of your marketing, or just to create an eye catching image to draw people's attention and therefore get you noticed.

It is also useful for other commissioned or stylised artwork like caricatures or people or for c.d. covers where you need some original artwork created as opposed to just using royalty free imagery.

There are many different styles of illustration that can be used i.e.
• Vector imagery which allows you to scale the artwork up to any size without loss of quality and is perfect for printing vinyl signs or onto t-shirts and many other reproduction techniques which are useful to marketing your business.
• Photoshop painting which can produce very stylised artwork and add a distinct element of individuality to your advertising.
• Image manipulation is also a good way to produce stunning illustrations which involves making a completely new image out of pre-existing photos, scanned in elements or anything else you can get your hands on.
